VEHICLE HISTORY - Registry shows delivered new in France about April, 1961. Only
about 400 Facellia 2+2 coupes were made over three years, from March, 1960, to
February, 1963. About half of these, such as this car, came with the attractive
HK500-style headlights. The vehicle was made with the 100 c.i. dohc Facel engine,
Pont-a-Mousson 4-speed manual transmission, optional wheel trim, Brunswick dark
blue exterior, red interior. Information indicates that Max Hoffman, the NY Facel
dealer, sold the vehicle in about 1965 with about 6,500 miles. The current owner, a
Facel collector, purchased the car about ten years ago.
DESCRIPTION -Repainted in metallic dark blue, the red interior remains original. The
bumpers and headlights were removed for the repaint, and come with the vehicle.
The #3 piston of the original engine has been replaced. The engine cranks smoothly.
The original gauges and black crinkle dashboard are in excellent condition. The front
leather seat cushions could be reupholstered, the surface of the rear seats looks
good and could be dyed for a nice appearance. The vehicle odometer reads 23,758
miles, which is likely original. The vehicle was not built with the optional Facel radio;
a 60s-vintage Motorola AM radio was fitted early in the car's life. The car is a
preserved, authentic, original car.
OFFER - The car is available, ready to reupholster and get running to make a driver,
or to fully restore. The car is offered "as is," is located in New Jersey, USA, and can
